March 3rd observes National Third Graders’ Day (makes sense it being 3/3 no matter where you are!), so I decided I needed to get started on reading the book – full of life lessons – I found in my school’s teacher lounge a couple of weeks ago. Other staff members leave books, puzzles, and other things they have but don’t (or no longer) need in the lounge for others to take, and this one immediately caught my eye.
The book I chose as today’s featured read is heartwarming and head‑nodding — not the “dozing-off” kind, but the kind that makes you smile and think, “Yes! I get what you’re saying.” It’s a read for everyone, whether you’re a teacher, a student, or just someone who loves a story that celebrates curiosity, kindness, and growing up.
And of course, I couldn’t resist adding a few quotes – little life lessons – from other picture books that remind us all how remarkable we are. These are my little reminders to celebrate being ourselves — each line a spark of confidence, joy, and wonder.

When you spot giveaways, do you enter just for fun—even if you’re unsure you’ll read the book—or only when you truly want the title?
Like last week’s answer, depends! While I most often enter a giveaway because I think I will love the book, sometimes I enter thinking I might, and at other times because I know or think someone else I know will enjoy it so I can give it to them if I win!
