Since it is Mother’s Day here in the US, and Limerick day following it on the 12th, today I bring you a limerick for moms everywhere and other etcs too!!

Poetic Sundays: A Limerick for Moms Everywhere
Note that this likely cannot be called a true limerick (maybe not in spirit for it is sweeter and sappier than most but it does follow the structure of 5 lines, 8-9 syllables in lines 1, 2, and 5 which all rhyme, and 5-6 syllables in lines 3 and 4 which rhyme as well).
So here goes! My limerick-lines for moms
Here’s to moms who all do their share,
Whether they swear, pull at hair, or care.
They hustle, they shout,
Then laugh it all out —
And somehow they’re still always there!

What a beautiful piece and yes this is true! Our moms may get mad at us but they are always there whenever we need them. We are so lucky to have them in our lives.
