Thanksgiving Inspired Books: Food-Themed(to Relish & Love!)

  1. Caramel Pecan Roll Murder by Joanne Fluke (Cozy Culinary Mystery Series). I am yet to explore cozy mysteries so maybe I can start with this series where the titles delight and books promise deliciousness within as well (recipes included with clues!)
  2. Cornbread & Poppy by Matthew Cordell (Children’s Fiction | 4 – 8 years, and up). A cozy tale of sharing and caring as two mice face the coming winter.
  3. Cranberry Thanksgiving by Wende and Harry Devlin (Children’s Holiday Fiction | 3 – 8 years, and up). A sweet story of sharing and gratitude, with a cranberry bread recipe included!
  4. Green Beans by Elizabeth Thomas and illustrated by Vicki Jo Redenbaugh (Children’s Fiction | 5 – 8 years, and up). A charming tale that plants seeds of love for gardening and well, green beans!
  5. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows (Literary Fiction). A book that needs no introduction. I loved both the book and the movie.
  6. A House of Pomegranates by Oscar Wilde (British Folklore). I love Wilde’s short stories and this collection of fairy tales exploring love, death, and redemption is also a must-read.
  7. How to Avoid Brussels Sprouts by Grant S. Clark (Children’s Rhyming Fiction | 6 – 12 years). A totally hilarious read, even if you love brussels sprouts (like we do in our home)
  8. How To Make Gravy by Paul Kelly (Memoir).
  9. Little Sweet Potato by Amy Beth Bloom and Noah Z. Jones (Children’s Fiction | 2 – 6 years, and up). A delightful journey of a little spud finding its perfect place in the world.
  10. There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Turkey! by Lucille Colandro and Jared Lee (Illustrator). As with other books in this series, this one is also a laugh-out-loud romp of feasting that goes hilariously wrong!
