Zebra and Zeke the Weather Geek Under the Amazing Umbrella

Z is for Zebra. Most alphabet books include zebra for the letter Z from what I can recall with Zip being a close second. And when we play the game ‘Name Place Animal Thing’, well, it is almost a given that there will be multiple zebras among the players!! But there are a few other animals for this letter (never mind that many of the other animals also seem to have a ‘zebra’ in their name, like the ‘zebra mussel’ or the ‘zebra shark!’

Anyways, today’s post is short and sweet – just a couple of books for the letter Z. And 👍🏻, one of them is about a zebra!!

Who is Under Zebra’s Umbrella in this Weather?

My Quick Thoughts

Such an endearing story about sharing, friendship, inclusion, and kindness. I loved the adorable and vibrant artwork, and Zebra’s umbrella (the book and the umbrella itself) are both a must have!

Zeke the Weather Geek

My Quick Thoughts

This early reader chapter book is a delightful discovery! Part heartwarming story of friendship, family, and learning that you can find happiness in the most unexpected places and ways; and part a pretty cool beginner weather book for young readers!

Zeke’s birthday is not what he expected – from the weather to the gifts he gets, and so much more. I loved how this book does not deviate from showing Zeke’s disappointment in his gift and also enjoyed seeing the wonderful family dynamics, as well as Zeke’s genuine passion for all things weather! And then, all those brilliant ‘weather’ interruptions throughout; each one is about a couple of pages of information about weather, in relation to the story, and readers are sure to learn so much as they reach the end. Back matter includes a glossary of weather words, sources, and more.

And Now, the End of This Post

Dear reader, have you read any of these books? Or other similar reads?
