I could not post this on time for Children’s Book Week, but Mother’s Day is still ahead of us; so here are a few children’s book selections for you – across ages, across moods – to pick up for Mother’s Day Gifts.

Ramona and her Mother: Every daughter has that time when she wants to grow up, yet remain her mother’s little girl. I know I went through that and I know my dd is going through that. Read to find out when Ramona goes through this sweet conflict 🙂
Recommended Age: 7 – 11
Freaky Friday – I have seen the movie and enjoyed it. I did not know it was based on a book and plan to read it soon. Actually walking a mile in my dd’s shoes??:) – certainly a thought that scares me but might be super-helpful too!
Recommended Age: 8 – 12
Just Between Us: Mother & Daughter: A No-Stress, No-Rules Journal (Activity Journal for Teen Girls and Moms, Diary for Tween Girls) – Both my dd and I love to journal and I will be getting this one for us soon. We have tried similar single page activities and loved them so this is the next step for us. Why don’t you try it too?
Tweens, teens and moms
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn: I have hazy memories of this book. I recall reading a book I loved a lot as a teen but do not remember the name; it’s the story that brings back vague recollections. I plan to re-read it to jerk my memory back in place.
Recommended Age: 12+
